Professional Profile Writing Services

 

As a home based Internet Entrepreneur since 2003, I had to learn to market my business. I started exploring Internet Marketing. How could I convince my potential clients I was the one they wanted to do business with? I wrote the standard 'About Me' Page. BORING!

Watching my stats, I noticed that people weren't really clicking on the About Me page and when they did, they weren't staying very long. What does that mean? My visitors weren't reading About Me. They didn't know who I was or what I was all about. I was clueless as to how to get them to not only read my About Me page but to really get to know me, like me and trust me.

I started looking at other websites, in particular,  the About Me pages. Nothing jumped out at me except that they were very generic for the most part. I was still clueless.

I used to write resumes and cover letters that were 95% successful in getting the applicant an interview. Approximately 75% of those interviews resulted in the applicant getting hired. 

One day a few months ago, an Internet/Virtual friend of mine decided she needed to go back to work. Her online business hadn't taken off yet and she needed to supplement her income. She asked me to take a look at her resume and cover letter. I helped hre fix it up, making it the kind of self marketing promotion tool any employer would find impressive.  That got me to thinking:

When a person is looking to change careers or jobs, they use a resume and cover letter to market themselves and their services. How can I relate this to the entrepreneur? How can an entrepreneur market themselves to their potential clients using the concept of a resume? 

I thought about this for quite a while. Some days it was on the back burner, other days it was on the front burner. At that time, I was in the process of developing my own niche and trying to decide what exactly it was I wanted to offer.

I knew I had to narrow down my services. I wanted to provide a service that people really needed. I am a writer by nature. I love to write. That's why I'm so good at resume writing. But, wow! There are 524,000 reults for 'freelance copywriters' and a mere 4,660,000results for 'freelance writers'. It's a tough market to get into and become recognized as an expert in.

AHA! Have you ever had one of those AHA moments when the answer miraculously showed up?

That's what happened here. Out of the blue, it dawned on me that by writing a professional profile, using the concept of a resume, the entrepreneur would have a polished piece of work that showcases his or her achievements along with letting the potential client into their personal life just a little bit, but enough to generate the know, like and trust factor.

That was back in February of 2008. I spent the next several weeks exploring and researching the Internet to learn more about Professional Profiles. What I found was that there are huge numbers of people that use the term professional profile as in"Read my professional profile" or "Jane Does professional profile". Oddly enough, there isn't much information about what a professional profile is or how to create a professional profile, much less how to use it effectively.

As a result of my endless hours of research and research and more research, I decided it was time I took everything I had learned along with what I know in my heart to be true and put it to use to help other Internet Entrepreneurs position themselves as the expert in their niche.

This was the birth of a new concept, one that I know is going to take marketing on the Internet to a new dimension for home based Internet entrepreneurs.
